Enclosed in a dark, womb-like structure made from natural materials, the lodge represents rebirth—a space to release what no longer serves you and emerge renewed.
Guided by our experienced facilitator, Daniel, this traditional practice is a profound journey of surrender, resilience, and connection to the elements. Heated volcanic stones, known as grandmothers, are placed in the center of the lodge, glowing with ancestral wisdom. As water is poured over them, steam rises, carrying prayers, chants, and deep healing into every breath. The heat intensifies, encouraging detoxification, mental clarity, and an unparalleled sense of presence.
The experience is both powerful and humbling, a reminder of our deep connection to the earth, our ancestors, and ourselves. Within the lodge, time slows, the mind quiets, and the body releases tension, toxins, and emotional weight. By the time you step out, you will feel lighter, clearer, and profoundly renewed.

My journey led me to the Krishna Village in Australia, where I immersed myself in yogic living and conscious community. From there, I traveled across continents—from the Pacific all the way to the Caribbean sea, through Vipassana meditation in the stillness of France, teaching, learning, and deepening my path.
Now rooted back in Aotearoa New Zealand, I work closely with the local community, sharing practices that empower people to live more authentically, in health, connection, and quiet strength.


Daniel
Daniel Monterigues is an enthusiastic health coach, poet, and shamanic practitioner. With a degree in social communication and journalism, he has spent the last ten years living and studying the natural world through Universal Shamanism.
In New Zealand, he has been creating spaces for spiritual ceremonies, such as Sweat Lodges and Kambô sittings, for the past few years. His true passion is sharing the message of integration with nature through the wisdom of the indigenous cultures. He aims to help people achieve genuine health and fulfillment by fostering a deeper sense of belonging to the Earth.
Sauna Session
We invite you to experience the deep cleansing and rejuvenation of a traditional Turkish sauna. Rooted in centuries-old healing practices, this immersive heat therapy works to purify the body, relax the mind, and restore vitality.
The warm, steamy environment opens the pores, promotes detoxification, and enhances circulation, helping to flush out toxins while deeply nourishing the skin. As your muscles relax and tension melts away, the sauna aids in reducing stress, improving respiratory function, and supporting overall well-being.
Beyond the physical benefits, the steam sauna serves as a sacred space for stillness and renewal—a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you seek deep relaxation, clarity of mind, or a reset for the body, this traditional practice offers a powerful gateway to holistic healing and rejuvenation.
At the retreat, the sauna will be available for use throughout the day, allowing you to immerse in this ancient ritual at your own pace, complementing the other grounding and restorative experiences we have curated for you.


The Kai
Chelsea and her Mum Di will be cooking for the men's day, crafting vibrant, plant based, refined sugar free and mostly gluten free dishes that not only tantalise the taste buds but also heal and nourish the body.
The dishes are inspired by Ayurvedic principles, global flavours, and colours. The creations bring a symphony of healing energy to the body, by fostering a holistic approach to wellness through mindful, plant-powered living.
